Pankaj Udhas is an eminent Ghazal singer of India. He has got the unique singing style where Urdu verses of poets are set to music to the masses across the country together with other singers like Jagjit Singh.
Pankaj Udhas was born in the Gujarat State in India on 17th April 1951. His older brother Manhar Udhas is a Hindi playback singer in Bollywood. His family moved to Bombay and Pankaj attended St. Xavier's College in Bombay, Pankaj got his first break as a professional singer in the film Naam in 1986. He sung Chitthi Aayee Hai which became a huge hit. He recorded several ghazal albums and his ghazals are full of melody and his soulful voice attracted huge audience to his songs. He had also sung for many Bollywood Films and had travelled around the world as a prominent ghazal singer.
